A cursory look at some of the reasons why governments; Federal/ Central, States and Local Governments intervene in the economic and social activities of most countries especially the developing countries gives the impression that these countries are predominantly and ideologically inclined to the pursuit of socialism In fact, planning has been ignorantly misconstrued as connoting socialism. This has been the major propagandist instrument articulated by the Western imperialism to perpetually destroy the fabrics upon which sound economic planning is built.
